“I had the honour of playing “possibility” today in a children’s choir rehearsal. it’s so wonderful, and i loved the key change from Bb back to G! it was a special moment - and whilst sight reading it - i’m afraid i may have pulled some inappropriate faces!”

Callum, a talented young university student I know, wrote me some lovely words about a piece I wrote called Possibility for the Festival of Choral Music.  The festival is a wonderful few days of hundreds of children singing, organised by The Arts Unit (from the NSW Dept of Education).  Is there anything more joyful than children singing? No, nothing.  It’s one of my favourite instruments for which to compose.

I’d love to know what the ‘inappropriate faces’ looked like… but I guess I never will.
