Saya sudah liat video dan mendengar Sur Le Fil ini berkali-kali, tapi gak pernah bosan! Sur Le Fil berhasil mengiris-ngiris, menyayat (eaa) hati saya yang terdalam.
I love that his arrangement of this piece for violin ends up somehow having such a different character to the piano version. You could almost say it’s a completely different piece…. except that the structure is the same. Hm. Where does one draw the line on this?

I’ve heard a lot of violinists who do this kind of thing, and I’ve often found myself wishing that they actually played the violin a bit better. So many of them seem to hide behind all the bells and whistles. Not so, this fellow! He plays with a lovely warmth and with a beautiful range of colours. Well worth a listen.
