So interesting to watch Philip Glass play this piece.  He takes such liberty with the tempo and rhythm. Wow.  

And he also plays those low octaves with his 2nd and 5th finger… Sometimes I wish I had hands that size, but then I think of teeny tiny Alicia de Larrocha, who can barely reach an octave yet plays with such fiery virtuosity, proof that we small handed people can overcome the odds *grin*
